FAQ
Questions about billing
- What counts as a Monthly Active User?
- A unique device that activates the Immersion SDK and scores at least one sample in a calendar month. We count devices, not people, and we never receive who those people are.
- Is billing per app or per account?
- Per app. Each application you create in the console has its own trial and its own plan, so a small side project and a large production app are billed separately.
- What happens when the 14-day trial ends?
- The app stops scoring until you choose a plan. Nothing is charged automatically. Upgrade from the project page in the console and scoring resumes immediately.
- How is usage above the included allowance billed?
- The first 1,000 MAU each month are part of the base fee. Above that, each additional MAU is billed at the rate for its band, and the rate drops as you grow. Usage is reported daily and settled monthly through Stripe.
- Does Python use the same plans?
- Yes. iOS, Android, and Python apps are all activated and billed the same way.
- Can I switch plans?
- Yes, from the project page in the console. Upgrades take effect immediately.
- What if I expect very large volumes?
- The published rates keep stepping down past 250,000 MAU. If you’re planning at that scale, talk to us and we’ll work with you directly.
